Guwahati, July 13 -- Assam Women and Child Development Minister and Kamrup district Guardian Minister Ajanta Neog on Sunday inspected the under-construction Old Age Home and Child Care Centre at Bongaon Camp in Boko, a major social welfare initiative expected to become Asia's second-largest integrated facility of its kind.

The project, being built at an estimated cost of Rs 82.58 crore, is nearing completion and is likely to be ready within the next three months. During her visit, Neog reviewed the progress of construction and examined the facilities being developed to provide residential care for senior citizens and children in need.
