Guwahati: In a significant boost to healthcare services in the Northeast, AIIMS Guwahati has inaugurated a state-of-the-art neurosurgical operation theatre aimed at handling complex brain and spine surgeries.

According to an official statement, the facility was inaugurated by Executive Director Ashok Puranik in the presence of senior officials, including Surendra Kumar Majhi of the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).

Developed with financial assistance of Rs 6.5 crore under PGCIL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the new operation theatre is equipped with advanced surgical technologies to enhance precision and ensure better patient safety.
