Doomdooma, Oct. 30 -- The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Thursday urged the government to take immediate steps to ensure justice for Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.

The demand came amid concerns over successive bail orders granted to accused persons in the case related to his death in Singapore.

"Despite the people of Assam continuously raising their voices demanding justice for Zubeen Garg, the fact that one accused after another is securing bail is naturally a matter of concern. We urge the government to treat the entire matter with utmost seriousness and take immediate steps towards ensuring justice," AASU president Utpal Sarma said on Thursday evening.
