Digboi, Sept. 12 -- Candidates backed by the All Assam Gorkha Students' Union (AAGSU) won the two key posts in the 2026-27 Digboi College (Autonomous) Students' Union election.

Anuj Upadhyay was elected President and Chhabilal Sharma was elected General Secretary.

Both AAGSU-backed candidates defeated nominees supported by the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) by substantial margins.

Elections were held only for the President and General Secretary posts, while five other positions were filled unopposed.

Paban Chetry was elected Minor Games Secretary, Tanisha Upadhyay Debate Secretary, Abhishek Prajapati Vice-President, Bompi Gamlin Major Games Secretary and Anannya Dutta Sharma Girls' Common Room Secretary.
