Arunachal Police reject allegations in anti-drug activist Gumin Mize arrest case

Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh's Capital Police on Thursday said an internal inquiry had found allegations against police personnel in connection with the arrest of anti-drug activist Gumin Mize to be "baseless, incorrect and fictitious."
The inquiry was ordered after allegations surfaced through social media posts, public briefings and press statements following Mize's arrest on May 20 in connection with Bihpuria Police Station Case No. 72/2026 in Assam, registered under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.
