Guwahati: The Arunachal Pradesh government has introduced a fully digital teacher transfer and posting mechanism with the objective of bringing more transparency, equitable staff distribution and stricter monitoring of school attendance across the state.

The new system, launched under the 'Reach to Teach' programme, was announced on Wednesday by Education Commissioner Amjad Tak. The initiative seeks to address teacher shortages in far-flung and difficult areas while streamlining the transfer process.

As part of the reform, the government has developed an online Teacher Registry Portal that will digitally handle transfer requests, service information and posting records of teachers.
