Arunachal govt elevates Dumgandu Singpho, known for anti-narcotics operations, to DSP
Bordumsa, July 31 -- The Arunachal Pradesh government has promoted Inspector Dumgandu Singpho to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), with the Home Department issuing the notification on July 29.
The promotion, recommended by the Departmental Promotion Committee, takes effect from July 23, 2026. Singpho is among 10 Civil Police Inspectors elevated to the Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (APPS).
A native of Dirak Na (Dirakpothar) village in Changlang district, Singpho is currently serving as officer-in-charge of Sunpura Police Station in Lohit district.
