India, March 8 -- Chongkham police seized 26.6 grams of suspected heroin and arrested one person from the Mimey area of Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai district.
The accused has been identified as Chow Yasha Hopak (41), a resident of Chongkham.
Acting on credible information regarding the illegal sale of contraband substances in the Mimey area under Chongkham Police Station, a police team conducted a search operation.
During the operation, the police team reached the residence of the suspected person, where a search was carried out following due legal procedure in the presence of the Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses.
