Guwahati, Oct. 6 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday said hydropower remains one of the state's biggest investment opportunities, with nearly 19,000 MW of projects at various stages of development.

Speaking at an official function in Pasighat, Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh would continue to receive 12 per cent free power from hydropower projects, while the Centre has agreed to facilitate a 26 per cent equity share for the state.

With the state's equity contribution in the projects estimated at around Rs 15,000 crore, the Centre has also agreed to support the funding, he said.
