Arunachal: Naying Hydro project-affected families demand fair compensation, warn of protests
Dibrugarh, July 24 -- Project-affected families (PAFs), local landowners and villagers of Yapik on Thursday adopted five resolutions over pending compensation, land acquisition and environmental issues linked to Arunachal Pradesh's Naying Hydro Electric Project, warning of peaceful protests if their demands are not addressed.
At a community meeting chaired by Taya Yabu, the participants raised concerns over delays in compensation, pending assessments and what they described as unaddressed environmental issues related to the project.
