Dibrugarh, July 11 -- Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak visited the flood-ravaged Koyu circle in Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Siang district on Saturday and announced that he would urge the Centre to provide a special financial package for the affected Nari-Koyu constituency.

Accompanied by Nari-Koyu MLA Tojir Kadu, government officials and Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives, Tagak toured several flood-affected villages to assess the extent of the damage and interact with residents impacted by the disaster.

Flash floods have severely affected around 20 villages in the Koyu circle, causing widespread destruction to homes, infrastructure and agricultural land.
