Dhemaji, April 28 -- A long-running dispute over the operation of a ferro-silicon factory at the Niglok Industrial Growth Centre (IGC) in Arunachal Pradesh's East Siang district has been temporarily resolved, with protesters agreeing to suspend their agitation for six months under specific conditions.

The year-long protest had disrupted the supply of raw materials and machinery to the plant. Relief came after a consultative meeting held on Tuesday(28 April)at Ngorlung village community hall, convened by Ruksin Additional Deputy Commissioner Kiran Ningo. The meeting was attended by local villagers, stakeholders, and representatives of the company, M/s Aether Alloys LLP.
