Arunachal: Kumey River breaches danger mark; cuts off Parsi Parlo near Indo-China border
Guwahati, July 13 -- Relentless monsoon rains have left the remote border town of Parsi Parlo in Arunachal Pradesh's Kurung Kumey district inundated, with the Kumey River breaching the danger level and cutting off road connectivity to the Indo-China border region.
Days of continuous heavy rainfall have caused widespread flooding across the district, submerging large parts of Parsi Parlo and affecting both public infrastructure and residential areas.
Officials said the Kumey River overflowed its banks after rising above the danger mark, flooding key government establishments, including the Inspection Bungalow and schools, along with several private homes.
