Dibrugarh, Aug. 29 -- Diyun Police, under the supervision of Changlang district police, have apprehended those allegedly involved in the gang rape of a minor girl following a sustained investigation and coordinated search operation.

The case was reported at Diyun Police Station on August 21, 2026. After receiving information about the victim, who is currently undergoing medical treatment, Officer-in-Charge Inspector Ongsa Ronrang acted promptly and facilitated her evacuation to a hospital for medical care and assistance.

A case was subsequently registered under Sections 137(2) and 70(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 4, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
