India, July 17 -- Welthungerhilfe leaders presented the 2025 Annual Report in Bonn on July 16, 2026, cautioning that scheduled reductions in German federal funding risk undoing critical advancements in global food security.

Global Hunger Crisis Meets Budget Constraints The organization reported that 673 million people continue to face hunger worldwide as conflict and climate shocks persist. Despite these challenges, WHH successfully reached 19.1 million individuals across 37 countries through 647 projects during 2025. President Marlehn Thieme emphasized that international cooperation remains a vital investment in global stability, arguing that budget cuts send a dangerous signal during multiple global crises.
