India, Aug. 27 -- Oxfam said it is monitoring the humanitarian impact of flash floods in three districts of Nepal and coordinating with government agencies, local partners and aid organisations to assess urgent needs and identify gaps in the response.

Three districts under focus

The humanitarian organisation said the districts affected by the unfolding situation are Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa. Oxfam already has an operational presence in Dhading and an established mandate to work in Nuwakot and Rasuwa.

It said it remains in contact with partners and other humanitarian organisations as assessments continue, with the immediate priority being to understand the scale of needs among communities affected by the floods.
