India, Sept. 17 -- Young people from across Aotearoa New Zealand are gathering in Auckland for Aotearoa Youth COP 2026, where they will discuss climate action and develop recommendations ahead of the global COP31 climate summit.
Youth-led climate discussions
The event, hosted by Save the Children New Zealand through its Generation Hope youth programme, brings together rangatahi, meaning young people in te reo Maori, aged 14 to 20. Participants will learn about climate change, exchange experiences and explore ways to influence decisions affecting their future.
