India, Sept. 1 -- Five days after devastating flash floods and debris flows struck northern Nepal, rescue operations are continuing alongside an urgent effort to prevent a second health crisis as displaced communities face limited access to clean water, sanitation and medical care. Direct Relief said the death toll had reached 950, with more than 4,400 people missing, while around 10,000 households require immediate assistance.
Access Remains a Major Challenge
