India, July 22 -- Doctors Without Borders, also known as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), has called for the immediate release of all Palestinian healthcare workers it says have been arbitrarily detained by Israeli authorities, warning that prolonged detention and alleged mistreatment are further weakening Gaza's already devastated health system.

MSF said its orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Mohammed Obeid has been held in Israeli detention for more than 600 days after being arrested while working at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza in October 2024.
