India, Aug. 19 -- People returning to Lebanon's Bekaa Valley are finding that going home does not necessarily mean returning to normal life, as damaged homes, disrupted services and continuing insecurity complicate efforts to rebuild after months of conflict.

Return to damaged communities

Doctors Without Borders, also known as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), says hundreds of thousands of people have begun returning to communities across Lebanon, including parts of the Bekaa Valley. Many are confronting destroyed or damaged homes and infrastructure, while some families remain displaced because their areas are inaccessible or unsafe.
