India, Sept. 8 -- Wildfire smoke from Indonesia is spreading across Southeast Asia, exposing children to hazardous air pollution and disrupting education, with more than 1.4 million students shifting to online or remote learning, Save the Children said.
Fires Intensify Across Indonesia
Wildfires in Kalimantan and Sumatra have burned thousands of hectares, including areas of Borneo's tropical rainforest. The fires have generated what the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service described as massive carbon emissions.
