India, Sept. 30 -- Humanitarian leader Filippo Grandi will become chair of Save the Children International's Board of Trustees in January 2027, bringing more than four decades of experience in refugee protection and humanitarian response to the organisation's global leadership.
Grandi to Take Over in January
Save the Children International announced the appointment on September 29, saying Grandi will succeed Angela Ahrendts, who has chaired the board for the past six years. The appointment was approved by the Save the Children Assembly following a selection process that considered candidates from around the world.
