India, Sept. 1 -- More than 570,000 people in Yemen have received humanitarian cash assistance over the past two years as rising food and fuel prices, supply disruptions and cash shortages intensify financial pressure on conflict-affected families, the Cash Consortium of Yemen (CCY) said.
85,000 Households Supported
The EU-funded programme, implemented across 13 governorates, has provided Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance to 85,076 households. The support allows recipients to decide how to use the money based on their most urgent needs, including food, healthcare, education, debt repayment and shelter repairs.
