India, July 22 -- A Maasai nurse who survived a life changing elephant attack has become a driving force behind mobile healthcare services in rural Kenya, using a specially equipped health wagon to deliver medical care to communities with limited access to clinics, according to Direct Relief.
From survivor to frontline caregiver
Naing'ori Leshomo was seriously injured in an elephant attack while herding livestock as a teenager, an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in nursing.
