India, July 16 -- Syrian refugee Ali faces a recurring cycle of displacement as conflict recently forced him to flee his home in southern Lebanon for a collective shelter in Tripoli.

A Decade of Repeated Crises Ali originally fled Aleppo Governorate in 2012 to seek safety in southern Lebanon. After a brief, unsuccessful attempt to return to Syria where economic hardship and insecurity made rebuilding impossible, he returned to Lebanon only to be uprooted again by escalating hostilities in March 2026. These repeated crises have forced his two wives and seven children to start over multiple times in just over a decade.
