India, Aug. 10 -- More than 67,000 people have been evacuated near Spokane as wildfires continue to burn across Washington state, prompting Direct Relief to send medical supplies and protective equipment to communities dealing with displacement, hazardous air quality and cleanup risks.

Sixteen fires are currently burning across Washington, including three near Spokane. Although no fatalities have been reported, hundreds of structures have been destroyed near the city, while unhealthy particulate levels have affected communities across the state.
