India, Sept. 2 -- Direct Relief's medical aid delivered through the US healthcare safety net has surpassed $3 billion, highlighting the growing role of charitable medicine in helping uninsured and underserved patients access essential treatment.
Aid Reaches Thousands of Community Providers
The nonprofit has built a nationwide distribution network supplying medicines and medical products to more than 2,000 community-based organisations. Direct Relief said more than 175 companies across healthcare, technology and logistics sectors contribute to the system, which delivers over $300 million in medical aid annually.
