India, Oct. 26 -- Direct Relief, in its humanitarian activity update for the week of 10/16/2026 to 10/23/2026, reported ongoing support for flood-affected communities in Nepal, a field medic pack assembly event in the Philippines, and delivery of emergency response backpacks to Panama’s Ministry of Health following an Oct. 9 earthquake.
Weekly shipments and medical aid
Over the past week, Direct Relief said it sent 571 shipments of requested medical aid containing 15.2 million defined daily doses of medication to organizations across 48 U.S. states and territories and 18 other countries.
