India, Sept. 14 -- Medical aid is reaching communities facing flood damage, conflict, displacement and chronic health needs as Direct Relief continues shipments to Nepal, South Sudan and Yemen.
Aid reaches flood-hit Nepal
In Nepal's Rasuwa district, Mountain Heart Nepal recently travelled to Kalika Rural Municipality to provide medical support to communities affected by flash floods. A journey that normally takes six hours took nearly 12 because of damaged roads.
The team delivered four oxygen concentrators and 480 plaster bandages to Jibjibe Primary Hospital.
It also supplied 2,000 face masks, 40 body bags and 50 solar lights.
A health camp provided medical care, treatment and counselling to residents.
