India, Oct. 6 -- Climate-related disasters are increasing the risks of child marriage, unintended pregnancy and violence against girls by disrupting education, healthcare and family livelihoods, according to a new Plan International study. The report, State of the World's Girls 2026: Change Her Forecast, combines three decades of climate and health data from 52 low- and middle-income countries with research involving more than 5,000 girls and young women aged 15 to 24 in Bangladesh, Kenya, Peru, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
