India, Aug. 26 -- Rohingya refugees entered their tenth year of displacement on August 25, with humanitarian groups warning that entrenched insecurity, violence and limited opportunities cannot be allowed to define another year of life in the camps.
Security Risks Remain Entrenched
Safety and security remained the leading reported protection concern for 12 consecutive quarters. Between January and March 2026, 455 serious security incidents affecting 832 Rohingya refugees were documented across 33 camps and Bhasan Char, marking a 40 percent rise from the previous quarter.
