India, Sept. 29 -- Flooding across Bangkok has directly affected around 329,000 households, including children, while schools in the Thai capital have been closed as authorities respond to rising waters and evacuations.
Thousands Evacuated
Around 4,900 people from Bangkok's worst-affected areas were evacuated to temporary shelters over the weekend, while some residents remained stranded in communities where floodwater reached waist height.
Children have been affected either by flooding around their homes and communities or by having to leave their homes for safer locations.
