India, Sept. 28 -- Flooding in Thailand's capital has placed children among the groups most vulnerable to the effects of the disaster, as authorities respond to widespread disruption caused by heavy rains, Save the Children said.
Flooding Triggers Emergency Response
Bangkok has declared the situation a public disaster as floodwaters affect communities across the capital. The declaration is intended to support a coordinated emergency response as residents face disrupted transport, damaged infrastructure and difficult living conditions.
Save the Children highlighted the particular risks faced by children during floods, including separation from families, difficulties accessing essential services and exposure to unsafe environments.
