India, July 22 -- Amnesty International has called for an independent investigation into Pakistani airstrikes that hit a drug rehabilitation centre in Kabul earlier this year, saying the attack may amount to a war crime after its investigation found no evidence that the facility was being used for military purposes.

Amnesty said its investigation examined satellite imagery, photographs, videos and witness testimony related to the airstrikes carried out on January 9, 2026.
