India, Sept. 10 -- Twelve countries have announced plans to restrict trade with Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, prompting Amnesty International to call for broader measures targeting the structures supporting the occupation.
12 Countries Announce Trade Restrictions
Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK are planning restrictions on trade with Israeli settlements, which Amnesty says are illegal under international humanitarian law. The organisation described the move as overdue but said it does not go far enough.
