India, Sept. 30 -- Members of Mali's armed forces and Wagner Group personnel committed killings, torture and other serious abuses against civilians during joint military operations between June 2023 and December 2025, Amnesty International said in a new report.
Civilians Killed During Operations
Amnesty documented at least 34 civilian deaths across seven locations in the Segou, Mopti and Timbuktu regions. The organisation said those killed were not directly participating in hostilities and included people who were allegedly shot while fleeing or after being detained. Some victims were reportedly subjected to other forms of killing, including throat-cutting and burning.
