New York, Sept. 17 -- Action Against Hunger has received an allocation of $1 million from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to strengthen prevention and preparedness efforts in Uganda as the Ebola Bundibugyo virus (EBV) outbreak in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo continues to escalate and spread closer to the Ugandan border.

This additional funding comes at a critical time, enabling Action Against Hunger to expand prevention activities and help reduce the risk of cross-border transmission.
