New York, July 9 -- The IMPAACT project is expected to reach 243,801 people in Ethiopia, Somalia, and Djibouti through interoperable, government-led multi-hazard preparedness systems anchored at the IGAD regional level.

Nairobi, Kenya, 9 July 2026 - Action Against Hunger (ACF) and the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), today launched "Institutionalizing Interoperable Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action" (IMPAACT), a two-year initiative funded by the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).
