A place for every kid to be a kid: Camp Hopewell's diabetes camp celebrates 50th year
Santa Barbara, California, July 30 -- There's a place in the woods where a kid can be a kid.
And that's big for the kids whose lives have revolved around tracking their blood sugar, physical activity, eating habits, and insulin needs.
"Camp Hopewell is the one place that reminds you what your childhood should be like," said Alexandria Robertson, a participant at Camp Hopewell from 2016 to 2022.
