Lebanon, April 9 -- On April 8, less than 10 hours after a ceasefire was announced, Israeli forces launched mass-scale strikes across Lebanon, with reportedly over 100 strikes in 10 minutes. These attacks hit densely populated residential areas, leading to deaths and injuries, and people showing up en masse to hospitals that were already strained.
The following is a firsthand account from Safa Bleik, medical coordinator assistant and registered nurse, who was part of a Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) team present in the Rafik Hariri Public Hospital in Beirut yesterday as it received injured people.
