New Delhi, May 7 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of rejecting ceasefire efforts by launching fresh attacks across Ukraine.

The remarks come despite Kyiv's call for a unilateral halt to hostilities. Ukrainian authorities said more than 100 drones targeted eastern and southern regions overnight, as fighting continued along the frontlines with no signs of de-escalation.

The escalation comes ahead of Russia's Victory Day celebrations in Moscow, with Kyiv warning it may respond in kind if attacks persist.

Zelenskyy also criticised Moscow for proposing a limited truce to protect parade events while continuing strikes, raising concerns of further escalation.
