New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- Amid the aggressive impact of the monsoon across the country, the Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert.

Delhi and Haryana are likely to receive widespread rainfall, with another spell of rain expected on August 13. The national capital may also experience thunderstorms and lightning during the active monsoon spell.

The Met Department has also issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan, as active monsoon conditions intensify across the state.

The western Himalayan region is expected to remain wet through much of the week. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand till August 16.
