New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- The Donald Trump administration in the United States has reportedly announced a halt to the employment-based green card process for employees associated with eight major technology and outsourcing companies. The list includes four Indian IT giants-Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, and HCL-along with Cognizant, Capgemini, Microsoft, and Adobe.

The reported move could affect skilled foreign professionals seeking permanent residency in the United States through employment-based immigration programmes. Indian IT professionals, who form a significant part of the US technology workforce, may be among those impacted if the suspension applies to their pending or future green card applications.
