New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin, arrived in New Delhi to participate in 18th BRICS Summit, which will be hosted by India at Bharat Mandapam on 12-13 September 2026.

Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh received president Putin at the airport. India's Chairship of BRICS is guided by the theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability."

The theme reflects India's focus on strengthening existing achievements and institutional effectiveness. It places development, sustainability and innovation at the heart of the agenda. It also highlights the aspirations of the Global South. India seeks to reinforce BRICS as a constructive and solutions-oriented forum.
