New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that for the convenience of passengers, twelve thousand special trains will be operated during Diwali and Chhath festivals. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Mr Vaishnaw said that these special trains will run from 1st October to 15th November. He informed that last year, seven thousand 750 special trains were operated during the Diwali and Chhath festivals. The Minister also said that ten thousand trains have been notified and 150 fully unreserved trains will be kept ready for rapid deployment in the last minutes.
