NSA Doval to visit Beijing for 25th round of SR talks
New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is visiting China on August 24 to take part in the India-China Special Representative-level talks on the boundary issue with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
NSA Doval's visit comes ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's possible visit to India for the BRICS summit in September.
Doval and Wang are expected to hold the 25th round of SR talks on August 25. The two senior officials are the designated special representatives for the boundary talks mechanism, which was established in 2003 to address the boundary dispute.
Wang had last met Doval in June this year when he visited India for a meeting of the BRICS NSAs.
