New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- On relations between China and the United States, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India is closely monitoring developments and that they could impact bilateral relations.

Jaiswal said India does not comment on other countries, but follows developments taking place globally and keeps a close watch on them.

He said discussions have taken place with senior officials in the US government, during which India conveyed that the developments could have an impact on bilateral relations. He added that they could also impact the energy market, including the international energy market. Jaiswal said India has made its position clear on the matter.
