New Delhi, May 7 -- India and the European Union have launched a 15.2 million euro joint initiative under the India-EU Trade and Technology Council Working Group-2 to strengthen Electric Vehicle battery recycling.
The programme aims to boost collaboration on sustainable technologies as EV adoption grows in both regions.
The initiative will focus on developing advanced recycling solutions, including high-efficiency material recovery, safe and digitalised collection systems, and pilot-scale demonstration of new processes.
It will also establish a joint India-EU pilot line in India to test and deploy technologies at an industrial level, bringing together researchers, industries, and startups from both sides.
