New Delhi, Oct. 16 -- Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and Defence Minister Jose Mucio Monteiro Filho met Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday, marking a key step in deepening the strategic partnership between the two major democracies.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed a wide range of issues related to defence cooperation and industrial collaboration.

They also reviewed ongoing engagements between the two nations and explored avenues to expand cooperation. Speaking at the meeting, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted the common aspirations and interests of Brazil and India as major growing economies.
