New Delhi, July 28 -- The FIDE Women's World Cup 2025 final between India's Koneru Humpy and Divya Deshmukh will go into tiebreaks after the second classical game ended in a draw here on Sunday, Batumi, Georgia.

Playing with the white pieces, Humpy was forced to accept a draw through threefold repetition after Divya gave back-to-back checks. Their first classical game on Saturday also ended in a stalemate after a hard-fought battle.

With both classical games drawn, the winner will be decided in tiebreak matches scheduled for Monday. The coastal city of Batumi is hosting the final, which features two of India's top women chess players.
